Glenna grew up on a farm at Dallas Center, Iowa, and graduated from McPherson College, Kansas. Following college she did office jobs while her husband finished graduate school then was a stay-at-home-Mom for three children. As the last child entered school she attended Bridgewater College taking accounting courses to qualify as a CPA. She retired from official full-time working for 20 years in public accounting and industry.
In January, 2004 began working in the newly created part-time position as Business Manager of the Bridgewater Church of the Brethren where she has been an active member since 1973.
Other activities have included being on the boards of Harrisonburg/Rockingham Free Clinic, Mediation Center, Valley Brethren Mennonite Heritage Center and Bridgewater Home Auxiliary. “Non-working time” is now spent with young grandchildren in Augusta County and occasional trips west for sightseeing and visiting family members as well as enjoying living at Bridgewater Retirement Center.
