Pastor

Our pastor, Robert Alley, is an Ordained Minister in the Church of the Brethren with 33 years experience in pastoral ministry. He is married and the father of 3 children and grandparent of a grandson and granddaughter. Robert is a graduate of Bridgewater College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy & Religion and also a graduate of Eastern Mennonite Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. His continuing education experiences have focused in preaching, spiritual direction, and church administration. Personal interests are in genealogy and gardening.

Associate Pastor for Youth, Younger Adults, and Families

Chris Zepp began as our Associate Pastor for Youth, Younger Adults, and Families in 2007.  Chris graduated from Bridgewater College in 2000 with a major in Philosophy and Religion and a minor in Peace Studies.  He is a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, is married, and recently celebrated the birth of a son; they also have a young daughter.  Prior to beginning his ministry with us, he had served as Pastor of Youth at the Lancaster (PA) Church of the Brethren and Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults at the Mountville (PA) Church of the Brethren.  He and his wife also spent a year in volunteer service at Gould Farm in Monterey, Massachusetts.  Chris was ordained in March 2007 after being licensed for nearly ten years and graduated from Bethany Theological Seminary in May 2008 with his Masters of Divinity. Personal interests include sports, humor, and music.

Christian Education Worker

Jeanie Eye is our Christian Education Worker. She is joined the BWCOB staff in January 2008. Jeanie is a retired elementary school teacher, having taught at Elkton Elementary School for 31 years and 2 years in Culpepper. She loves to work with children; we welcome her to this position.

Senior High Directors

Josh and Erin Eye, Senior High Directors, both are elementary school teachers, Josh in RocKingham Country, and Erin and Augusta County Schools.


Junior High Directors

Heather is a Sophomore at Bridgewater College, where her majors are Biology Pre-Med & Spanish. She has many interests, including singing, music and is a member of the BC Chorale, Concert Choir, and the handbell ensemble)Additionally, she is active in a number of clubs & organizations, including Habitat For Humanity, Student Service Board, Sophomore Student Senate, Pre-Med Society and serves as the Spanish Club President.

A busy and outgoing person, she enjoys doing fun stuff like hiking, swimming, and adventurous activities. She loves to travel, and does so whenever she can get a chance, as is evidenced in her Work Camp experiences over the years.

Assisting Heather on a volunteer basis is Kenny Ellerby. Kenny is currently taking classes at Blue Ridge Community College. He hopes to transfer back to JMU or to Bridgewater in the fall of 2008, as a History Major.

He has volunteered at camp for several years and was on summer staff this past year (summer 2006). Kenny graduated from Spotswood in 2003 and lives in Keezletown.
